Nonwoven fabric (English Name: Non Woven Fabric or Nonwoven cloth) is also called non woven fabric. It is made up of directional or random fibers, forming a fiber network structure, and then reinforced by mechanical, thermal, or chemical methods. The main fibers used for producing non-woven fabrics are polypropylene (PP) and polyester (PET). In addition, there are also PA, viscose, acrylic, HDPE and PVC.
Nonwoven fabric Advantage:
1. Lightweight, with polypropylene resin as the main raw material, the specific gravity is only 0.9, only three fifths of cotton, fluffy, feel good.
2. Soft, made of fine fibers (2-3D), is formed by hot melt bonding. The finished product has moderate softness and comfort.
3. Water, air permeability, polypropylene chips do not absorb water, water content zero, finished water good, the 100% fiber is porous, good air permeability, easy to keep the cloth dry and easy to wash.
4. Non-toxic, non-irritating, the product is produced with FDA food-grade raw materials, does not contain other chemical components, stable performance, non-toxic, odor-free, does not stimulate the skin.
5. Antibacterial, anti chemical agents, polypropylene is a chemical blunt substance, not worm eaten, and can isolate the corrosion of bacteria and insects in the liquid; antibacterial, alkali corrosion, finished products do not affect the strength by erosion.
6. Good physical properties, from polypropylene spinning directly laid into a network of thermal bonding, product strength is better than the general staple fiber products, strength without direction, longitudinal and transverse strength is similar.
7. Environmental protection, in environmental protection, most of the raw materials used for non-woven fabrics are polypropylene, and the raw material of the plastic bag is polyethylene. Although the two substances are similar in name, they are very different in chemical structure. Polyethylene has a strong chemical and molecular structure and is extremely difficult to degrade, so it takes 300 years for the plastic bag to be decomposed.
The chemical structure of polypropylene is not strong, the molecular chain is easily broken, so it can be effectively degraded, and in the non-toxic form into the next environmental cycle, a non-woven bag can be completely decomposed in 90 days. Moreover, the non-woven shopping bags can be reused more than 10 times, and the environmental pollution after abandonment is only 10% of that of plastic bags.
Shortcoming:
Compared with textile cloth, strength and durability are poor, and can not be washed like other fabrics. Fibers are arranged in a certain direction, so it is easy to crack in right angles. Therefore, the improvement of production methods is mainly to prevent the improvement of division.
Weaving process:
Spunlis, spunlace technology is a high pressure micro flow of wa
ter jet to a layer or multilayer fiber network, so that the fiber entangled together, so that the fiber mesh reinforcement and have a certain strength.
Thermal bonded non-woven fabrics refer to the addition of fibrous or powdered hot-melt bonded reinforcement materials in the fiber mesh, and then the fiber mesh is heated, melted, cooled and reinforced into cloth.
The pulp is air laid into the net and air laid into non-woven fabric. It can also be called dust-free paper and dry papermaking nonwovens. It uses the air flow forming technology to loose the wood pulp fiber board into a single fiber state, and then condenses the fiber on the net curtain with the air flow method, and then the fiber net is reinforced into the cloth.
Spunbond, spunbonded nonwoven fabric is made of a continuous filament when the polymer has been extruded and stretched, and the filament is laid into a net. The fiber net is then bonded, hot glued, chemically bonded or mechanically strengthened to make the fiber net into nonwoven fabric.
