A new, modular system for fiber opening and blending Established components and new developments are the buildings blocks for customers to arrange their individual fiber preparation process. For nonwoven installations, the joint development with Trützschler Spinning includes a new bale opener, high-precision and simultaneously high-productive pan or belt weighing units as well as an advanced conveyor belt with blending opener. Cotton web formation with random card technology The main characteristic of man-made staple fibers is the defined length of the fibers in one bale. Conventional roller cards are designed for efficient processing of such fibers. When it comes to cotton, problems arise due to the various fiber lengths and the high amount of short fibers. Trützschler's random card EWK413 features a layout especially suited for cotton fiber processing. Small rollers with 2 different diameters in a special arrangement ensures perfect carding of shorter fibers. The result is a double-sided carding process with centrifugal-dynamic web formation. EWK produces homogeneous, nearly isotropic web with a MD:CD ratio of 3:1 or even significantly lower. Picture 2: Random card EWK for cotton processing |
